Methyl Dihydrojasmonate is an aroma compound that smells similar to jasmine. In racemic mixtures the odor is floral and citrus while epimerized mixtures exhibit a dense buttery-floral odor with odor recognition thresholds of 15 parts per billion.
Application:
It can be used to prepare artificial jasmine oil, jasmine and evening jade base. Used in small amounts on lily of the valley, it thickens and gives a mild roundness. It is also used in non-floral Suxin orchid, Oriental type and new type of dragon fragrance, with good effect. It can be used in harmony with wood incense
